The French Quarter is one of the most accessible neighborhoods in New Orleans, with convenient options for both driving and public transit. Visitors can easily reach the area by car, streetcar, or bus service.

French Quarter Hotels with Parking

Travelling by car is the most convenient way to get to French Quarter Guest Houses. Lamothe House offers self-parking in a gated lot behind the hotel on a first-come, first-served basis for $40.00 per day.
If you plan to park, please check in at the front desk of your reserved hotel first so we can issue you a remote and parking pass before you park at Lamothe House. If our lot is full, we will be happy to direct you to other available public parking options available on Iberville St., Rampart St., and Decatur St.

Arriving at Louis Armstrong International Airport

For those arriving by plane, Louis Armstrong International Airport is 15 mi (24km) away from the French Quarter. The estimated time to the hotels can vary from 25-40 min depending on traffic.

Traveling By Taxi or App Ride

 

The cost of a taxi from the airport to the French Quarter starts at $36.00 for 2 passengers, or $15 per person for 3 or more passengers. Credit card payments are accepted.
The airport taxi zone is located in the Arrivals Curb outside of Level 1 Baggage Claim Door 7.  The airport Ride app zone is located outside of Level 1 Baggage Claim on the middle curb. Check Louis Amstrong International Airport for further information.

 

Traveling By Public Transport

 

Public transport is the cheapest option to get to or from the French Quarter. The cost is $1.25 per ride for a single fare. RTA Bus – Airport Express (202) runs hourly and stops near Canal Street, a short 5-10 min walk from our hotels. Estimated arrival times can vary from 1h – 1h 20 min.
